1. Eligibility
- You must be 18 or older to use Trivialize. The app carries an 18+ age rating in every store that lists it, because live events award prizes in real money, and age verification is required before any deposit, prize entry or payout.
- Trivialize is free to play. There is no wagering: you cannot stake coins, and every game and live event is free to enter.
- A prize payout is the only way real money moves to a player. Payouts require identity verification and are available only where we operate.
2. Trivialize is a skill-based game with no wagering
Trivia outcomes depend on your knowledge and reaction time, not on chance. Question pools are seeded from licensed and curated content; randomness only applies to which subset you see in any given session.
You never pay to enter and you never stake anything. Coins are a play currency: you earn them by playing or buy them to spend on power-ups, lifelines and cosmetics. Coins have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or converted to money, and buying them does not improve your chances in any event that carries a prize.
3. Coins, top-ups, and prize payouts
- Coin top-ups via Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe, Apple, or Google credit your wallet on provider confirmation. Coins are a play currency and are never redeemable for cash — a top-up is a purchase of in-game currency, not a deposit.
- Prizes awarded in a live event are paid in local currency, separately from coins. Prize payouts require completed identity verification (KYC) per regional regulations.
- Standard payout SLA: 1–3 business days. Disputes: open a ticket via Settings → Help & support.
4. Responsible play
You can set a daily deposit cap and a session-time alert in Settings → Account limits. You can self-exclude for between 24 hours and 1 year — once active, the self-exclusion can't be lifted before its end date even at your request. See our Responsible Play page for the full set of tools.
5. Fair play
The following are breaches of these terms and result in account suspension + forfeiture of any unpaid prize:
- Multiple accounts (one human, one account).
- Sharing accounts.
- Automated play (bots, scripts, macros).
- Using leaked or shared in-app purchase receipts.
- Coordinated leaderboard manipulation.
6. Promotions and prize pools
Promo codes, drops, and event prize pools are governed by their own terms displayed at the point of offer. We reserve the right to claw back rewards earned via the rules above.
7. Intellectual property
The Trivialize app, brand, and curated question content are our property. User-generated content (custom usernames, share-card photos) remains yours; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it within the app and on share surfaces.
8. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is". Our maximum aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you've topped up in the 12 months preceding a claim, except where the law prohibits limitation (e.g. negligence causing physical harm).
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with disputes subject to the courts of Lagos.
